A Necessary Encounter: "Leather & Wines". Celebrating Cutting-edge Craftsmanship and Tradition
Did you know that the key to success in fashion and wine making might lie in Time and Tradition? What shared secrets connect the crafting of a fine Sherry wine and the manufacturing of a quality leather bag? How do centuries of tradition intertwine in two of the most iconic products of our region?
Last Thursday, June 6, we had the privilege of attending a unique event in Jerez de la Frontera: “Leather & Wines.” This gathering aimed to unite the two most emblematic and export-driven sectors of our province of Cádiz: the leather goods industry of Ubrique and the prestigious wines of Jerez. For Crush Leather Goods, it was an unforgettable experience, full of discoveries and deep connections with our roots, made possible by Movex and the Regulatory Council of Sherry and Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
Jerez, known worldwide for its Designation of Origin Jerez, Xerez, Sherry, and Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda, boasts the oldest designation of origin in Spain, encompassing the most exquisite and traditional wines. Meanwhile, Ubrique, with centuries of history in leather manufacturing, is the cornerstone of creating leather goods for the world's most prestigious brands. These two seemingly different worlds shared the stage at “Leather & Wines,” revealing surprising parallels.
During the event, we had the opportunity to present our brand of leather bags, Crush Leather Goods. Attendees could closely appreciate our collections and experience the quality and variety of the leathers we use. It was an honour to share our passion and dedication with an audience so versed in the interpretation of the senses.
